It is with great sadness that the family of the late JULIA EDWARDS of Creston South, formerly of Lawn, announces her passing at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre in Burin on Thursday, February 23rd, at the age of 81. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are sons, Howard (Ramona) of Little Bay, Austin of Creston South, Isadore (Bonnie) of Garnish; daughter, Joan Marshall (Roger) of Winterland; sister, Mary Shields; 10 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; homecare workers, Jessie Slaney & Pearl Aylward; plus a large circle of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by husband, Howard Edwards; parents, Simon & Bridget Slaney; brothers, Peter, Thomas & Andy; grandson, Britt; granddaughter, Morgan; great-granddaughter, Kelly.

The Funeral Service took place at Wiseman’s Funeral Home in Marystown, on Monday, February 27th, at 10:30 am. Inurnment followed at Holy Name of Jesus Roman Catholic Cemetery in Lawn.

In Julia’s memory donations may be made to the Chemotherapy Unit at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre or flowers gratefully accepted.
