EMMA CHRISTINA MYDLAND
1945 - 2017
It is with great sadness that the family of Emma Mydland announces her passing. She was very strong and courageous in her battle with cancer and will be forever missed. She passed away in Victoria Hospital in Prince Albert, SK on Thursday, March 2, 2017. She will finally be together with her beloved parents whom she has missed deeply. She was predeceased by her parents Annie in 1976 and Ragnvald in 1979. Left to mourn her passing are her 2 children Shelly Kolb (Greg) and Dale Deschner (Mari-Angela); her 4 grandchildren Ryan, Brittney, Natasha and Serena; her great-grandchild Abigail; her 3 sisters Esther (Albert), Jean (Mick), Ruth (Rennie); her uncle Albert; numerous beloved nieces, nephews and cousins. Emma was born in Birch Hills, SK on December 24, 1945. She married Terry Deschner in 1963 and lived in Melfort, Prince Albert, Regina and Saskatoon. They were divorced in 2007 and remained friends to the end. Emma enjoyed her flower gardening, watching curling, playing a good game of cards, and had a group of amazing friends who were always there for her. Emma’s family was very important to her and she loved spending time with them. Her Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Gray’s Funeral Chapel, 575 - 28th Street West, Prince Albert, SK with Pastor Dennis Serfas officiating. There will be a luncheon to follow. Interment will take place at a later date at Rose Hill Cemetery in Weldon, SK. In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations in Emma’s memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Saskatchewan Branch at https://www.cancer.ca/en/donate/?region=sk.
