At the Dr. John M. Gillis Memorial Lodge, the passing of Annie Elizabeth Mooney (Nee Grant), age 83, wife of the late Leo Mooney occurred on Wednesday, March 8, 2017. Born in Orwell Cove on December 26, 1933 she was the daughter of the late George and Helen (Gleeson) Grant. Annie is survived by her brothers and sisters Charlie Grant, Richard Grant, Robert (Jeanette) Grant, Audrey (Barry) MacPherson, Tommy (Maria) Grant and Janet (Austin) Hounsell; several Nieces, Nephews and Former Students. She was predeceased by brothers John Grant and his wife Lois, Joseph Grant; sisters Rita Naddy and her husband Vincent and Sr. Pauline Grant (C.S.M.). Resting at Ferguson Logan Montague Funeral Home with Visiting on Friday, March 10, 2017 from 4 to 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial to take place on Saturday, March 11, from St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Iona at 10:30 a.m. Donations to the St. Michael’s Parish Cemetery Fund or The Diabetes Canada would be appreciated.
