It is with deep sadness that our family wishes to announce the passing of our loving mother, Corry LeBlanc on March 12, 2017 at the Harbourstone Enhanced Care at the age of 95. Besides her parents, Michael and Cornelia Mels, she was predeceased by her husband, Alex in 1962. She was a wonderful and loving mother to, Nick (Linda) and Kenny (Peggy); grandmother of, Mark (Angela), Cory (Angie), Chandelle (Joey), Alex (Shelly), Freda (Nathan) and Maggie and her six precious great grandchildren, Samantha, Payton, Logan, Allora, Easton and Penny.
Corry was predeceased by her immediate family here and in Holland and most of her friends. She also had a special friendship with Charlie Wall and his family for many years. By her request, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation. A celebration of life will be held 2 p.m. Friday, March 17, 2017 at the SW Chant & Son Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Sheldon Chant officiating. Reception to follow. Burial to take place at a later date in St. Theresa’s Cemetery, Sydney. A special thanks to the kind and caring staff at Irish Cove, Kimberley Building, the doctors and nurses that were involved with her care.
