George Edward Smith passed away in St. John’s on the 8th of March, 2017 at the age of 83 years. He leaves to mourn his children Boyce (Kelly), Delphie (Craig), Cicley (Jeff), Maitland (Guy), and Joy (Dan), as well as his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, the Woodward family (Jenny, Cindy, Rod and Sandra), friends, and family. He was predeceased by Eliza Smith and Margaret Woodward. Visitation took place at St. Matthew’s Anglican Church in Cook’s Harbour on Monday, March 13th at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Katie Flynn officiating. Interment followed in the Wild Bight Anglican Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Home, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard, funeral director.
