1996 - 2017
It is with extreme sadness and broken hearts that we announce the passing of our dear “Zachy” on Monday, March 13, 2017 after an incredibly courageous battle with cancer. Zachary Andrew Cook was born on Sunday, January 21, 1996 in Leduc, Alberta. Anyone who had the honour of knowing our Zach knew how kind, generous and most of all hilarious that he was. Zach was an avid sports fan and on any day could be seen wearing a Yankee’s hat or a Seahawk’s sweater. Baseball was a passion of Zach’s. He loved nothing more than being on the field with his favorite teams, the Swamp Donkeys and the Nitros. Zach leaves behind his loving parents Jim and Donna, his sister Rayne, his brothers Riley and Glenn (Jessica), his beloved niece and nephews Kristyn, Kane and Andrew, numerous extended family members and countless friends whom he loved like family. The Celebration of Zach’s Life will be held on Saturday, March 18th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mark’s Roman Catholic Parish. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Zach’s Relay for Life team, Team Cookerino. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of River Park Funeral Home, Colette Harnett, Funeral Director.
