It is with great sadness we, the family of Stephen Nicholas, announce his sudden passing on March 16, 2017. Born in Florence on March 17, 1948, he was the son of the late Charles and Florence ‘Toots’ Nicholas.
Stephen is survived by his wife, Bonnie; son, William (Tanya); daughter, Amanda; grandchildren, Jadan, Zoe, Nicholas and Brandon; brother, Thomas (Joan); sisters, Clara and Dolores; sisters-in-law, Janice and Ada as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Stephen will also be missed by his best friends, Freeman Spicer and George Best. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Jackie and Buddy and brothers-in-law, Leo Pyke and Paul Harding. Keeping with Stephen’s wishes, there will be no service. Cremation has taken place under the care of Fillmore & Whitman Funeral Home, 10 Clyde Ave. Sydney Mines. A private family graveside service will take place at a later date. If desired, donations in Stephen’s memory can be made to the S.P.C.A.
