DOUCETTE, Robert Joseph – age 52, Amirault’s Hill, Yarmouth Co., passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 25, 2017 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born March 1, 1965 in Yarmouth, he was a son of Wilbur and Agnes (Robbins) Doucette. Robert had worked as a fisherman and then as a carpenter and was currently employed with Millstone Farm in Saskatchewan. He loved meeting up with the guys at Tim’s for a cup of tea. Aside from his parents, Wilbur and Agnes, Pinkney’s Point, he is survived by his girlfriend of 12 years, Karen A. Warner, as well as by his children, Mandily (Doug), Melissa (Jordan), Taylor (Jonathan), all of Wedgeport; Byron, Amirault’s Hill; Sarah, Wedgeport; a step-son, Spencer Warner, Amirault’s Hill and grandchildren, Brooke, Ethan, Austin, Logan and Emily. He is also survived by sisters, Joyce (Philip Jr.), Kentville; Belinda (Wade), Pinkney’s Point and a brother, Randy, Saskatchewan. In accordance with the family’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there was no visitation by request. A funeral mass was held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, March 29 from Saint Anne’s Church in Ste. Anne-du-Ruisseau, Father Albeni d’Entremont officiated. Interment followed in the parish cemetery.
