It is with great sadness that we, the family of Vivian (57), announce her sudden passing in her home in Iona on March 31, 2017. She was the daughter of the late James and Mary E (Mae) Devoe, Alder Point.
Vivian enjoyed her job driving bus in Fort McMurray during the last few years before moving home to retire in Iona. Her biggest joys were her daughter Meagan, granddaughter Aleah and her beloved dog Minnie; as well as being an avid fan of Meryl Streep, George Jones and Tammy Wynette. She was survived by her husband, John; daughter, Meagan (Josh); granddaughter, Aleah; sister, Yvette; niece, Tracey; grandniece, Alyssa; aunts, Gertie MacIntyre, Florence Parago and Casey Parago, and many more relatives. She is predeceased by her parents, James and Mary Devoe and her nephew, Charles James Walsh. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at the SW Chant & Son Funeral Home, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney on Friday, April 7, 2017 from 12-3 p.m. with a memorial service to follow at 3 p.m. with Rev. Sheldon Chant officiating.
