It is with great sadness that we, the family announce the passing of Margaret Irene (Springall, White) MacLeod on April 5, 2017 at the Seaview Manor surrounded by her loving family. Born in New Waterford, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Matilda (Delaney) Springall.
Margaret enjoyed spending her time knitting or crocheting.
Margaret is survived by her sons, David Dean White, BC, Robert Joseph White (Yvonne), New Waterford, Gerald MacLeod, New Waterford; daughters, Linda (Steve) Barton, Burlington ON, Sandra Jewells (Lawrence), Glace Bay, Catherine Marchesin, Glace Bay, Dorothy Gillis (Bruce), Homeville and Cecilia White, Sydney; sisters, Dorothy Pope, Cambridge ON and Betty MacNeil, New Waterford; brother, John Springall, Cambridge ON; grandchildren, Lisa, Nicole, David, Susan, Jennifer, Murial, Kevin, Stephen, Christopher, Mason, Dana and Nicki; great-grandchildren, Trent, Alex, Emily, Tyler, Maddy, Haley, Ethan, Owen, Ethan, Harmony, Matthew, Corey, Easton, Emma and Violet. Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Wallace White; son, Wallace White; daughter, Louise Bresowar; brothers, Danny, Alfred, Robert and Edward Springall; son-in-laws, Gary Marchesin and Benedict Gale. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 8, 2017 from 12-2 p.m. followed directly after by a chapel service at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Deacon Leo Penny officiating. Burial will be in Union Grove Cemetery followed by a luncheon at the Army, Navy and Airforce, Smith Street, all are welcome. Special thanks to the staff at Seaview Manor for taking excellent care of our mom. They went over and above for her and treated her like family. We would also like to thank Father Norman McPhee for coming to give her last rights.
