We, the family of James Hugh Cormier, regret to announce his passing in Victoria, BC.
Born in Sydney on July 25, 1950, he was the son of the late Jean and Mary (Jamieson) Cormier.
A member of the Navy, Hughie served on HMCS Chicoutimi overseas and in Bermuda. In his younger years, he was a member of Holy Redeemer Church, Whitney Pier, where he sang in the choir and was an altar server.
He is survived by his sisters, Marjorie MacDonald and Catherine (Mike) Williams and brother, John all of Sydney.
Besides his parents, Hughie was predeceased by his sister, Donna Murphy and brother-in-law, Peter Owen MacDonald.
Family interment will be held at a later date.
