Tony Quinn passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at the age of 75 years with his wife, Cleo, by his side. He was born in County Clare, Ireland on Thursday, April 10, 1941. He moved to England at the age of 18 years, where he studied to become a psychiatric nurse. He moved to Canada in 1968 and lived in Portage La Prairie for two years, where he worked until coming to North Park Centre. He then worked at the Saskatchewan Penitentiary and finished his career working at the Victoria Hospital for 36 years. He was an avid golfer and loved to travel. Tony leaves to mourn his loving family: his wife, Cleo; his children, Tommy, Myella and Tracey; his step-children, Darwin (Valdean), Dennis (Audrey), Yvonne and Kelly (Wanda); numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his sisters, Greta from Toronto, and Mary, Bridget and Kathleen from Ireland; and his brothers, Jody and Sean. He was predeceased by his daughter, Julie; his parents, Joe and Nora (nee Sheedy) Quinn; and his brothers, Tom and Mick. Celebration of Tony’s Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 10, 2017 at River Park Memorial Chapel, Reverend Ted Hicks officiating. Interment will take place in St. Christopher Cemetery at Christopher Lake at a later date. It is the family’s request that those wishing to place memorial donations may do so to Prince Albert Parkland Hospice Palliative Care Association, Unit D – 4050 2nd Avenue West, PO Box 1711, Prince Albert, SK, S6V 5T3. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of River Park Funeral Home, Don Moriarty, Funeral Director.
