Passed away after a brief illness surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at the Health Sciences Complex. Reg Thorne aged 83 years. Predeceased by: parents: Anne Thorne (nee Temple) and Ernest Rayfield Thorne. Leaving to mourn his devoted wife of 62 years: Lily (nee Noseworthy); daughters: Deborah Hooper (Philip), Emily Rodgers (Adrian) and Cynthia Thorne (Curtis White); sons: Eldridge "Reg" Thorne Jr. (special friend Denise Bussey) and Albert Thorne (Helen); brothers: Ernest (Andrea), William (Marjorie-Deceased), Andrew (Hilda) and Levi (Shirlene), Lloyd-Deceased; sisters: Marion Dorcas Moore (David-Deceased), Lily (Leonard), Alfreda (Andrew), Janet (Wesley), Eva (Jim) and Rhoda (Ted); grandchildren: Stephanie Cole and Aaron Cole, Al and Chad Thorne, Vincent Hillier, Christine Thorne, Travis Pike (Andrea) and Nicole Pike, Alex and Jennifer; great-grandchildren: Destany Thorne, Natalie Thorne and Mason Hillier; sister-in-law: Gert, as well as many other relatives and friends. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave. on Thursday from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 and on Friday from 2:00 - 4:00. Funeral service will be held at Barrett's Chapel on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Forest Road.
