WHITE, Ernest “Ernie” Gordon- age 74, of South Ohio, N.S. passed away on April 10, 2017. Born in Forest Glen, NS on January 5th, 1943 he was the son of Olive (Brittain) and the late Malcolm White. Ernie spent his working life in Ontario where he worked at Whitby Welding, A.G. Simpson, Oshawa Towing and Oshawa Times. He spent his last year in South Ohio. He was a loving son, dad, grampy and brother. In addition to his mother he is survived by his daughter Kimberly (Jim) Wannamaker, Cameron, Ont.; sisters, Sandra (Denton) Ford, Port Maitland and Marsha (Tom) Bickford, South Ohio; brother Malcolm (Harriet), Port Maitland; grandchildren, Samantha, Dustin (Jackie) and Leighland (Ashley) as well as 7 great grandchildren. Besides his father he was predeceased by his son Thomas. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. There was a visitation Thursday, April 13th from 1-2 p.m. followed by the funeral service at 2 p.m. from Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Don Moses officiated.
