With deepest sorrow, the family of Sadie Rockwell (Gosine), sadly announce her peaceful passing at the Dr. Walter Templeman Hospital on Friday, April 14th, 2017, surrounded by loving family, at the age of 96. Predeceased by her husband William (Red) Rockwell, her parents Sity Ann and Elias Gosine, her siblings Harold, Frances, Theresa, Marg, Helen and Laura, nephews Dave and Darryl Gosine, niece Catherine Williams. Leaving to mourn with precious memories and heavy hearts, her sister Esther Ballis and many nieces and nephews, including Gary (Debbie), Kandice, Bradley, Baby Evelyn, where she resided, Ann Brazil, Andrea, Ethan Gosine, Sandra (Larry) Dunn, Frances, Derek Gosine, Mike and Patsy Simon, Dan (Linda), Danny, Jason Joerges, Helen, Tom (Joan), David, Laura Gosine, and a large circle of family and friends. Special thanks to Sadie's dedicated caregivers whom she loved dearly, Helen Littlejohn and Kelly Parsons, as well as Dr. Alexa Laurie, Eileen Besso, Lori Hann, and the staff of the Dr. Walter Templeman Hospital for the compassion and care provided to Sadie during her stay. Sadie would always make sure that everyone who entered the Gosine household left with a smile on their face and food in their belly. It would take a book to write all of the good Sadie has done for all who knew her, and in doing so she still held an abundance of love for all of her family and friends. Visitation to take place at Pendergast Funeral Home, Bell Island on Monday, April 17th, 2-9 p.m, Tuesday, April 18th, 10-1 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will take place at St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church, Bell Island, on Tuesday, April 18th, 2017 at 2 p.m. with interment to follow at St. Michael's Roman Catholic Cemetery and a reception to follow at St. Michael's Parish Hall.
