It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Donald Martin Harrietha age 79, on Tuesday April 10, 2017 at the Cove Guest Home, Sydney.
Donald was born at Mill Creek, May 3, 1937. He was a lifelong resident of Mill Creek and was raised by his grandmother, Dora Harrietha.
Donald worked as a coal miner at various coal mines throughout the Northside area. He was a member of St. Joseph Church, Bras d’Or.
Donald is survived by a number of cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles. By request there will be no visitation. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30 a.m., Thursday April 20, 2017, at St. Joseph Church, Bras d’Or with Rev. Peter McLeod officiating.
Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery at a later date.
