BUTTERS, Freda Margaret -71, of Pictou, passed away April 23, 2017 peacefully in the Maritime Oddfellows Home, Pictou with family by her side. Born in Pictou, she was a daughter of the late Reginald and Sarah Jane (Wood) MacDonald. Freda was predeceased by her husband, Thomas. Surviving are her daughters, Anne Marie Butters and Christine Rondelet (Tom); grandchildren, Emily, Thomas and Grace Rondelet; her sisters, Helen Marks and Linda Bowen (Stanley); her brother, Chloran (Donna) and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Kenneth, John, Frank, twins Emmett and Raymond, and Earl. Visitation will be 7-9 PM Thursday in McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou. Funeral will take place 11 AM Friday from the McLaren Funeral Home Chapel. Donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society or charity of choice.
