Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital surrounded by her loving family, Mrs. Mary (May) Shute of Bay Roberts, aged 88 years. Predeceased by parents Isaac and Janet Mercer (nee Bradbury), sister Evelyn (Joe) Fellows, brother James (Bertha) Mercer. Leaving to mourn are her sons: Gary (Karen) Shute, Glen (Flora Dicks) Shute; sister-in-law Ethel Mercer; grandchildren: Marrium (Robert) O'Brien, Robert (Jill) Shute and Randell Shute; great-grandchild Owen. Special friend Shirley Bowering and a large circle of other nieces, nephews, family and friends. Resting at Moore's Funeral Home, Bay Roberts with visitations on Sunday, April 30, 2017 from 2 - 5 PM: 7 - 9 PM: Monday: 10 - 12 Noon. The funeral will take place on Monday, May 1, 2017 at 2:00 PM from St. Matthew's Anglican Church, Bay Roberts with interment to follow in St. Matthew's Anglican Cemetery, Bay Roberts. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Matthew's Anglican Church, Bay Roberts or the Arthritis Society.
