After a strong battle and surrounded by family it is with great sorrow we announce the death of Malcolm ‘Mac’ Christie, 67, on April 12, 2017 at the QEII, Halifax.
Born in Sydney to the late Sam (Malcolm) and Louise Christie. He was a long time employee of Sydney Steel Corporation.
Mac was an ardent Habs fan and enjoyed spending time with Family and Friends.
Dad will be missed by his children, Darcel, Jason (Cathy), Sabrina (Michael), Melissa (Dougie) Wall and Ashley; grandchildren, Justin, Quinn, Mackenzie, Douglas and Landon; siblings, Gordon (June), Rose, Joe (Linda), Robert (Jeanette), Kenny (Nancy), Veronica (Bucky) MacDougall, Billy (Patricia), Sharon (Darrell) MacDonald, George (Marlene), Allan (Wanda), Martin (Trudy), also many nieces and nephews.
Malcolm was predeceased by a son in infancy, also sister, Mary (Adrian Merriam).
The family would like to express a sincere Thank You to Dr. Basket, Dr Legare, Sonya, Paula, Maggie and the staff the QEII (7.1).

Cremation has taken place. Funeral Service will be performed Saturday, May 6, 2017 at 1 p.m. in the Chants Funeral Home Chapel, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney with Fr. Paul Murphy officiating.
