Al was born on the family farm in the Mount Joy district, near Ogema, Saskatchewan, on March 8, 1932.He passed away peacefully at F. H. Wigmore hospital in Moose Jaw with his family by his side on Monday, May 1, 2017.Survived by his wife of 61 years, Marjorie Joyce Gurnsey; sons Dave (Brenda), Vern (Kandy), Trevor (Teresa) and Dean (Kim); grandchildren Marie (Peter) McKay, Carrie (Brian) Meanley (and their mother, Esther), Sean (Cheryle) Gurnsey, Tara (Cam) Nedelec and Jaeleigh, Jonah and Jacksen Gurnsey; and great-grandchildren Claire and Katelyn McKay, Anna and Carmen Meanley, Alannah, Theoren, Evan and Aleah Gurnsey, and Dayne, Brayden and Jonnae Nedelec; brothers Ray (Eva) and Don (Alice); sister June; brother-in-law Tom Webb. Pre-deceased by his parents George and Vera Gurnsey, sister Julia Webb and daughter-in-law Doreen. The family wishes to thank the attending doctors and staff of F. H. Wigmore Hospital and Providence Place (GARU) for their compassionate care. A Celebration of Allan’s Life will be held on Thursday May 4, 2017 at 11:00 AM at St. Andrews United Church, 60 Athabasca St, E., Moose Jaw, SK. Reverend Jim Tenford will officiate. Interment will take place at Sunset Cemetery. Donations may be made to Kidney Foundation (Saskatchewan Branch) in lieu of flowers. In living memory of Allan, a memorial planting will be made by W. J.
