Passed peacefully away at Clarke's Beach on Sunday, April 30, 2017 with his wife by his side. He was born in Novar, ON on August 22, 1938. Predeceased by his parents Edward and Elsie (Culyer) Peltier and his parents-in-law Harvey and Maud (Short) Pitcher. Left to mourn his loss are his loving wife Pansy (Pitcher) Peltier and his devoted daughter Sharon Peltier; sister Brenda Peltier, North Bay, ON; brothers Lanny Peltier, Ajax, ON, Brian Peltier, (Margaret), Fort Erie, ON, Rene Peltier (Carol), Corbeil, ON; aunt: Mona (Peltier) Listmayer, Thunder Bay, ON; brother-in-law Bertram (Bernice) Pitcher; sister-in-law Muriel (Pitcher) Smith (Phil) and nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many cousins. Ed entered the Salvation Army College for Officers training in 1968 and was commissioned as a Lieutenant in 1970. He has served in various appointments from Newfoundland to British Columbia. He retired in 1998 for health reasons. He loved God supremely and his greatest desire was to help others reach their full potential.

Special thanks to Dr. Jason and Kimberley Efford for their care over the past nine years. The Memorial Service will be held 1 pm on Saturday, May 6, 2017 from the Salvation Army Citadel, Bay Roberts. Interment to follow on Monday, May 8, 2017 at 1 pm from the Salvation Army Cemetery, Blackmarsh Road, St. John's. The family will be receiving relatives and friends at the Salvation Army Citadel, Water Street, Bay Roberts on Saturday, May 6, 2017 from 10 am - 12 noon.
