Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, May 7th, 2017. Mr. Matthew Joseph Brazil of Spaniard's Bay age 83 years. Predeceased by his father Matthew Brazil (Corporal) M.M., D.C.M., Croix de Guerre. His mother Agnes (nee Delaney). Sisters: Cecilia and Margaret, Brother: Gerald, daughter-in-law: Elizabeth Brazil, infant granddaughter, Jennifer Brazil and granddaughter-in-law, Tiffany Brazil. Leaving to mourn his wife and partner of 60 years Marina (nee Dwyer). Sons: Paul (Elizabeth), Brian (Mary), Cyril (friend LaVerne), Damien (Edwina), Matthew (Marilyn), Ron (Joy). Daughters: Sheila (Dave) White, Agnes (Peter) Lane. 17 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. His brother Michael, sisters: Mary Jo Pennell, Clare Gregory, Joan Ryan, Eileen Woodford and a large circle of brothers and sisters-in-law, as well as other family members and friends. Resting at Lynch's Funeral Home, Spaniard's Bay. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 10th, 2017 from ST. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Riverhead, NL. Interment at ST. Anne's Cemetery, Spaniard's Bay. Donations in his memory can be made to the breakfast program, Holy Redeemer School, Spaniard's Bay.
