With broken hearts the family of Karen Elizabeth Matheson (nee MacKay) age 61, of Stratford, devoted wife of 28 years to Wayne Matheson passed away at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on May 2, 2017, after a lengthy battle with cancer. Born in Toronto, she was the daughter of the late Morgan and Minnie (MacKenzie) MacKay. Besides her beloved husband, Karen will be sadly missed by her treasured son William Matheson (Laura Noel); brothers and sisters, Ronald MacKay (Jenny), Gary MacKay (Jill), Sandra MacKay, Morgan MacKay (Lisa); several nieces and nephews. Karen always put others ahead of herself. She will be greatly missed by all who came to love and know her. A very special thank you to the staff of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital and the Oncology Unit for the excellent care Karen received. Resting at Ferguson Logan Montague Funeral Home with visiting on Thursday, May 11th from 6 to 8 p.m. There will be no funeral service by personal request.
