Maria “Mary” Sebjanic

Maria “Mary” Sebjanic, late of Prince Albert, SK, passed away on May 15, 2017 in Prince Albert, SK at the age of 87 years. Mary will be lovingly remembered by her family: her daughter: Zalika (Mark) Adamson; her sons: Ed Sebjanic and Frank (Aundrea) Sebjanic; her grandchildren: Sarah (Justin Futa) Adamson, Hannah (Brian Soso) Adamson and Hayden (Abigail) Adamson, Avery Sebjanic and Nicholas Sebjanic; her great-granddaughter: Tiegan Maria Adamson-Futa; and the family of Steve & Arlene Sebjanic: Teresa (Angelo) Gentili, Glenn Sebjanic and Ken Sebjanic, all of Edmonton, Alberta; as well as Mary’s church family: the members of Messiah Lutheran Church. Mary was lovingly cared for and will be remembered by her loyal family of the last seven years: the staff of Lakeland Trail Herb Bassett Home. Mary was predeceased by: her spouse: Adolf Sebjanic (in 2000); her children: Marta and Stefan; her siblings: Frank, Steve, Irene, Tracy and Emma of Slovenia; her parents: Tracey and Ludvik Josar of Slovenia; and most recently: Steven & Arlene Sebjanic of Edmonton, Alberta. Always humble and kind, Mary “lived” her life of faith, love and compassion with courage and joy. She leaves that legacy of love behind in all she touched. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, May 22, 2017 – 2:00 pm at Messiah Lutheran Church, 1796 15th Avenue East, Prince Albert, SK, with Pastor Íris Kristjánsdóttir as Officiant. Interment will take place on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 – 10:00 am at South Hill Cemetery, Prince Albert, SK. In lieu of other tributes, donations in memory of Mary may be made to “Mary’s Legacy of Love Fund”, c/o Lakeland Trail, Herb Bassett Home, 1220 25th St. W, Prince Albert, SK S6V 5T4.
