Pettigrew, Joan Demille- 82, of Halfway River, Cumberland county passed away Thursday May 18, 2017 at Cumberland Regional Health Center, Amherst. Born in Springhill she was the daughter of the late Frank Walsh and Martha ( Hunter ). She is survived by a daughter, Margaret Pettigrew ( Charles Simmonds ), Southampton; two sons, Hughie Pettigrew ( Rosalie
Ripley), Lakelands; Robert Pettigrew, Halfway River; 7 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Darreld in 1973; a brother Hughie in infancy. Visitation will be held Saturday form 6-8 at Smiths Funeral Home Parrsboro where funeral will be held Sunday at 2 pm. Rev. Marlene Quinn officiating. Burial in the Halfway River Cemetery.
