HAZELTON, Glen Frank – age 56 of Deerfield, Yarmouth Co., N.S passed away peacefully May 24, 2017 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Yarmouth on June 21, 1960 he was a son to Verna (Herrington) Hazelton and the late Walter Hazelton. Glen was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who took great pride in family and loved them dearly. He worked at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital for over 20 years before changing careers and working at Woods Fur Farm for 15 years. In his spare time Glen was an avid outdoorsman loving to hunt, fish, and grow large gardens. Besides his mother, Glen is survived by his loving wife Meredith (Finlay); daughter, Sarah Hazelton; son, Matthew Hazelton; brother, Scott Hazelton; step children, Ashley Goodwin and Dylan Goodwin; sisters, Judy (Robert) Deveau and Nancy (David) Langille; and grandchildren, Owen and Gage. Besides his father, Glen was predeceased by his brother Joe Hazelton. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. Visitation was held Saturday, May 27, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. in Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral service was held Sunday, May 28, 2017 at 11 A.M from Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Robert Gates officiated. Interment followed in Pleasant Valley Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
