Esther Pedersen
August 1, 1934 – May 8, 2017

Esther Pedersen, late of Prince Albert, SK., left this life on May 8, 2017 and was welcomed into her heavenly home. At the time of her passing she was 82 years of age and resided at River Breeze Retirement Complex.
Esther was born, raised and educated in the Drake district of Saskatchewan. The youngest child of John and Katherine Welker, she was sister to 12 siblings and loving aunt to numerous nieces and nephews.
Residing in Prince Albert since 1959, Esther was employed at a variety of places including: Victoria Hospital, C.B. Dept. Store, Craig’s Ladies Wear, Carment’s Jewellers, and Celebrations! by Design (owned by her daughter and son-in-law).
Esther was also a fulltime caregiver to all four grandchildren. This was a great joy for her, and a tremendous blessing to her daughter’s and son’s families. She adored her grandchildren and they were always safe, clean, healthy and happy with Grandma’s care. Esther leaves a legacy of love and devotion to family.
She was predeceased by her parents and all 12 siblings, several in-laws and some nephews.
Esther will be lovingly cherished and remembered by: her daughter Lana (Ron) Adams, and son Leighton (Kim) Pederson, grandchildren Ashley (Jesse) Grant, Ian Adams, Graham Pedersen, Tanner Pedersen, great-grandchildren Rhiannon and Emrys Grant, numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
For all the kind, compassionate care Esther received in her final years, the family gratefully thanks: Dr. VanHeerden and Co-operative Health Centre, Prince Albert Home Care, and River Breeze Retirement Complex.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, June 5 at Messiah Lutheran Church, 1795 15th Ave. East Prince Albert, SK with Pastor Iris Kristjánsdóttir as officiant. Cremation interment to be held at a later date.
In lieu of other tributes, donations in Esther’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Saskatchewan, 2550 12 Ave. Regina, SK S4P 3X1, or Messiah Lutheran Church 1795 15th Ave. East Prince Albert, SK.
