Passed suddenly away at his residence on Friday, May 9, 2008. Harvey Smith aged 77 years. Leaving to mourn are his devoted wife of 51 years: Pearl Smith (nee Wight); children: Sharon (Roger), Randy and Scott (Cindy); loving grandchildren: Laura, Mark and Jennifer; brother: Clarence Smith; sisters: Gladys Hefford and Jean Morgan; sisters-in-law: Doris Wight, Madeline Wight and Eileen "Lottie" Wight; brother-in-law: Hunter Wight (Jean); special friends: Ralph and Ethel Hiscock, as well as a large number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Saturday and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9. Funeral service will be held from First United Church, Park Ave., Mt. Pearl, on Monday, May 12, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
