Beverly Jean Smith, 47, of Truro, passed away suddenly, Thursday, Dec. 27, 2007, in Wentworth. Born in Whitehorse, Yukon, she was a daughter of Robert and Janice (Perry) Smith. She is survived by a son, Reuben Barkhouse (Margaret Hobson) of Stewiacke; daughter Evelyn Barkhouse of Halifax; paternal grandmother, Mrs. Jessie (Steeves) Smith of Salisbury, N.B. She was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Frank and Doris (Surette) Perry; paternal grandfather Raymond E. Smith. Visitation will be Monday from noon to 1 p.m. prior to the funeral service at 1 p.m., all in the Wentworth United Church, Wentworth. Rev. Donald Sutherland will officiate with burial to follow in the Wentworth Cemetery, Wentworth. A reception will follow in the church hall. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Mattatall Funeral Home, Truro.
