Marion Christine Clark, 84, of Dixon Court, Bible Hill, passed away peacefully, Friday, Feb. 23, 2007 at the Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born in Waughs River she was a daughter of the late James and Elizabeth (MacKay) MacKay. She was a former employee of the Truro Daily News, where she had worked for many years, and where she was a member of the Truro Printing Slugs Softball Team, which was inducted into the Nova Scotia Sports Hall of Fame in 1980. She was a member of St. Andrew's United Church, Truro, and the Senior's Bowling League. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by son, Ron (Brenda), Bible Hill; daughters, Elaine (John) MacLean, Shubenacadie; Beverly (Keith) Melanson, Stellarton; grandchildren, Steve, Greg, Barbara, Shawna, Stacey, Jeffrey, Jackie, Laura; nine great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Herdman; brothers, Hiram, Donald, Keith. Visitation will be held 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 27, followed by funeral service at 2 p.m. in the Mattatall Funeral Home, 55 Young St., Truro, Rev. Jay Ettinger officiating, with a reception to follow in the funeral home. Burial will be held at a later date in the Watson Cemetery, Truro. Family flowers only.
