Pictou Landing - Ida Bernice (Simpson) Andrews, age 94, formerly of Pictou Landing Road, passed away Friday, July 20, 2007, in Alderwood Rest Home, Baddeck. Born in Trenton, Pictou County, she was a daughter of the late John and Martha (Woodin) Simpson. She was a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church, Pictou Landing. She is survived by one daughter, Flora (Don) Lesley, Pickering, Ont.; one son, Jack (Patricia), Margaree Valley; brother, Gordon, Amherst; three grandchildren: John, Wendy and Michael, as well as eight great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Churchill Andrews; sisters, Grace and Elva; brothers: Cecil, Jack, Clarence, Ralph and Roy. Visitation 7-9 p.m. Sunday in the R.H. Porter Funeral Home, New Glasgow, from where funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Monday with Rev. Joanne Vines officiating. Interment in Heatherdale Memorial Gardens at a later date. Family flowers only. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Alderwood Rest Home, Baddeck.
