OROMOCTO/PICTOU - Mary Judith Jolene LaRade, 29, of Oromocto, New Brunswick, and formerly of Pictou, was taken from her family and friends too soon, on June 7, 2007, as a result of a motor vehicle accident in Prince Edward Island. Born in Pictou on April 22, 1978, she was a daughter of Mrs. Cecile (Edward) Corkum, and the late Alphonse LaRade. She is survived by her fiance, Pete Silvea, who is at present in critical condition in a Moncton hospital; her three precious children, Joshua LaRade, who is presently with his grandparents in Pictou, and 11-month-old twins, Trinity and Marcus, who are being cared for by their grandparents in Oromocto. Also surviving are her brother, Stephen (Linda) LaRade, Pictou; sisters: Darlene MacLeod, Angela Widen, both of Sussex, New Brunswick; Belinda (Shaughn) Wittman, Alberta; and Andrea (Chris) Proctor, St. Martins, New Brunswick. Besides her father, Jolene was predeceased by her brother, Adam LaRade; maternal grandparents, Tommy and Mary Cyr (Pictou); paternal grandparents, Joseph and Judique LaRade (Cheticamp). We will miss her but not forget her. We, her family, know that she is in Our Father's, and family's arms. We know they will take care of her in Heaven. Her cute little laugh and precious smile are engraved in our hearts forever. Visitation will take place 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Tuesday in McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou. Funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday from Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church, Pictou, with Father Peter MacDonald officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to the Stella Maris Church Building Fund. The family ask that you remember in your prayers the children's father, Pete, who is still fighting for his life.
