STELLARTON – Raymond “Peg” Clark, 87 of Poplar Street, Stellarton, passed away Wednesday, October 31st, 2007, at the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in Stellarton, he was a son of the late David and Agnes (Fleury) Clark. Raymond was a lifelong resident of Stellarton. He retired as an employee of the CNR with 40 years of service. He was a member of Christ Anglican Church, Stellarton. Raymond loved to skate, bowl and play softball in his earlier years, and was an avid gardener. He was a volunteer with the Pictou County Food Bank and a member of the Pictou County Adult Skaters Group. Surviving are his wife, the former June MacDonald; son, Glenn (Cheryl), Limerock, Pictou Co.; daughters: Mary Elizabeth (Tom) Hahn, Scotch Hill; Helen (Frank) Clifford (Margaret), New Glasgow; sister-in-law, Doris Little, Westville; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters: Elizabeth, Dorothy “Dot”, Becky, Pauline and Ellen; brothers: Ralph, Bill, Roy and a brother in infancy; very special friend, Rudy. The family will receive visitors from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today in the H.C. MacQuarrie Funeral Home, Stellarton. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday in the Christ Anglican Church with Rev. Aidan Kingsbury officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Family flowers only please. He will be dearly missed by his family and all who knew him.
