It is with great sadness that the family of Eleanor Kerestes announces her passing on Sunday, February 21, 2010 at the age of 68. She was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Mary Tuzyk of Dauphin, MB., where Eleanor was born and raised. Eleanor is lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her husband James and their daughters Sheryl (Craig) Kergen and their children Tyler and Alexandra of Calgary, AB., and Barbara (Todd) Pierce and their children Samantha and Paige of Moose Jaw, SK, her sisters Carol (David) McBurney of Portage la Prairie, MB., Elizabeth (Ray) Wetick of Ethelbert, MB., brother Joseph (Barb) Tuzyk of Dauphin, MB., brother-in-law Glenn (Marilyn) Kerestes of Swan River, MB., and various nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. Eleanor loved gardening, canning, cooking, baking and a good afternoon or evening of bingo. Her chiffon birthday cakes will be sorely missed. In keeping with Eleanor's wishes, a private family memorial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Eleanor's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Arrangements are entrusted to Parkview Funeral Chapel.
