Maureen Belliveau, 52, of Dieppe, passed away on Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at her residence surrounded by the ones she loved. Born April 19, 1957 in Port Perry, ON, she was the daughter of Hans and Dianne (Reis) Kraupa. She is survived by her beloved husband of 28 years, Norbert Belliveau; her two loving children: Angèle (Guillaume Thibeault) and Marc (Chelsea), both of Moncton; her two precious grandchildren: Eve and William; her brothers and sisters: Cynthia, Gerard, and Karl of Ontario; Lynda, Rodger, Valerie, Theresa, Eric, and Rita of Nova Scotia, Andrew of Alberta, many nieces, and nephews. Maureen was a wonderful person who always shared her gentle soul and tender heart with everyone that surrounded her. Her family, friends, coworkers, and all the students at the Lou MacNarin School, Dieppe, (former secretary) were always a priority in her life. Camping, traveling, her family pet, her grandchildren, and holidays (especially Christmas) were her most treasured moments. Maureen was not only a wonderful person, but also had qualities of a hero who fought every obstacle without a grudge or self pity. She always forged ahead with a smile through adversities and difficult times, which will leave us all better people through her own life lessons.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette's Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900). The funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Michael's R.C. Church, Moncton, on Saturday, February 27 at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe. Visiting hours Thursday, from 7-9 p.m., Friday, from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. ONLY.
