Passed peacefully away on Tuesday, February 23, 2010, William Cleary, aged 77 years, into the loving awaiting arms of his wife and forever sweetheart Mary (nee Stanley). Former CN employee. Predeceased by his parents Gus and Mary Cleary, infant daughter Mary and brothers: Jerome and Mike, sisters Janet and Florence (remarkably, today, February 23 as well), and special brother-in-law Leo Duffy. An always caring and devoted father to Sharon (John Morris), Brenda (Ricky Whelan), Jeanette (Morgie Lundrigan), Maureen (Leonard Condon), Dianne (Gerald Walsh), Billy (Nancy) and Brian (Stacey). The best kind of a poppy this side of heaven to a wide range of ages of the most special grandchildren: Jeff, Colleen, Lesa, Elaine, Lorraine, Mary, Jill, Kim, Terry, Deanne, Tracey, Kristina, Andrea, Veronica, Brian Joseph, Kyle and Tyler; great-grandchildren: Sherri-Lynn, Patrick, Max, David, Stephen, Brandon, Keira, Jacob, Tyler, Abigail, Jason, Joey and Anna; also leaving to mourn his sisters: Philomena (Bill), Frances (Ray), Gertrude (Bob), Barb (Vic) and brother Pat (Nora); also left to celebrate his life is a large circle of sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews; as well as friends and neighbours; special mention is made of his loyal friends of recent years Bob and Eve McCrindle and his lifelong friend Fr. 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. and Thursday from 12 noon - 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, February 26, 2010 at 9:30 a.m. from Corpus Christi Church. Cremation to follow.
