NEW GLASGOW - Sheila Mary MacDonald, 80 of the Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow, formerly of MacLellan's Brook, Pictou County, died Wednesday, August 29, 2007, in the manor. Born in England, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Sadie (Knight) Lamdin. She was a resident of the Glen Haven Manor for the past seven years having previously been a resident of Stellarton Road before moving to MacLellan's Brook in the early 1960s. She was an adherent of the Church of England. She was a member and former president of the ladies auxiliary of Branch 28 Royal Canadian Legion, Stellarton. Sheila was also a war bride. Surviving are sons: Ernest (Faye), Eureka; Eddie (Jan), British Columbia; Shaun (Linda), MacLellan's Brook; nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, a brother, John, England; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Eddie; a sister, Maureen; and a brother, Peter. Her remains will rest in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow, for visiting from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday from where funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday with Rev. Cathy Laskey officiating. Burial will be in the Castle Hill Cemetery, Maclellan's Brook. Family flowers only. Donations in memory of Sheila may be made to the Nova Scotia Heart and Stroke Foundation.
