ALMA – Helen Isabel MacLeod, 62, of Alma, Pictou County passed away on Friday, March 28, 2008, at the result of a motor vehicle accident. Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late Donald and Ida (MacKenzie) MacLeod, of Westville Highway. Helen was owner and operator of The Picket Fence for several years. She was also employed at I.C.T., New Glasgow for the past two years. She will be sadly missed by her daughters, Wanda (Stewart) Druhan and husband David, Green Hill; Shelley (Stewart) MacPherson and husband James, Salem; grandchildren, Samantha and Brett Druhan and Peyton MacPherson. She is also survived by her sister, Jean MacLean and husband, Grant, Scotsburn and brother Earl MacLeod, Westville Highway; former husband, Blake Stewart, Alma; and 5 nieces and nephews Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or funeral service by request. A private graveside service will take place at Heatherdale Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are under the direction of Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. Donations in Helen’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
