LOCKHART, RICHARD KANE The death of Richard Kane Lockhart, of Fredericton, NB, husband of June Elizabeth (Pollick) Lockhart occurred on Wednesday, March 27, 2002 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, Fredericton, NB. Born in Woodstock, NB, he was the son of Dorothy Mary (Bishop) Lockhart and the late Winston Charles Lockhart. Mr. Lockhart was the Bulk Manager with the Smythe Street SuperStore. He was a member of Scouts Canada, Society of St. Andrew's Pipes and Drums and Oromocto Legion Pipes and Drums, was an avid sportsman and loved to hunt and fish. He was a Distinguished Marksman and a Civilian shooting instructor with the Air Cadets. He was the first Recipient of Sir James Dunn Award of Excellence and was a member of the Alexandria Masonic Lodge. Richard was also a member of Gibson Memorial Church. Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by one son, Richard Kane Lockhart of Hamilton, ON; a sister Winna Cheryl Bailey (David) of Fredericton; mother-in-law, Viola Elizabeth Pollick; one brother-in-law, Gary (Nancy) Pollick and one sister-in-law, Susan (Stewart) Milne; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, he was predeceased by his father-in-law, Malcolm Charles Pollick. Although there will be no visitation a Memorial Graveside service will be conducted at Sunnybank Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
