O'BRIEN, REV. HAROLD BEECHER Passed away peacefully with his wife at his side, at Kingston General Hospital, Kingston, Ontario, on Sunday, April 7, 2002, Rev. Harold Beecher O'Brien, in his 78th year, beloved husband of Doreen (Hooper), dear father of Anne (Wayne Montgomery) of Ottawa, Stewart (Jane) of Lindsay, and Catherine of Ottawa, loving grandfather of Laura Montgomery, Marilla Montgomery, Lynn O'Brien, and Kevin O'Brien, also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his first wife Sue (Kennedy), sisters Ruth Hood, Winnifred, and Catherine, and brothers Robie and Rev. Allison. Former minister of Pastoral Charges in Juniper-Glassville, Florenceville, Douglastown, Hartland-Jacksonville, and Prince William-Nackawic. Friends may call at the James Reid Funeral Home, Counter St. and Hwy. 2, on Wednesday, April 10 from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held in Cooke's - Portsmouth United Church, 200 Norman Rogers Drive, Kingston, ON, Thursday, April 11, at 11:00 a.m. Cremation will follow.
