ERMA DORIS (FAIRLEY) STEWART

STEWART, ERMA DORIS (FAIRLEY) After a long struggle with cancer, Erma Doris (Fairley) Stewart of TaxisRiver, NB passed away on Monday, July 01, 2002 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, Fredericton, NB, she was 64. Born in Bloomfield Ridge, NB, she was a loving daughter of the late Elva and Alberta (Ross) Fairley. She is survived by her devoted husband of 46 years, Darrell Stewart of Taxis River NB. She was a cherished mother of two daughters, Maureen Cowie & her husband Danny of MacKenzie, BC and Sandra Munn & her husband Brent of Bloomfield Ridge, NB. The Joy of her life were her five grandchildren, Christopher and Natalie Cowie of MacKenzie, BC, Sari, Cody and Shaylee Munn of Bloomfield Ridge, NB. She will be greatly missed by her brother George Fairley & his wife Valerie, her sister Marcienne MacDonald all of Bloomfield Ridge, her sister Carolyn Head & her husband Ron of Newmarket, On., her brother-in-law Otto Fraser of Nashwaak Bridge, NB and her sisterin-law Ellen MacKay of Boiestown. She is also survived by one uncle, Ernest Fairley, several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her son, Timmy, her sister, Vera Fraser, her mother and father-in-law, James and Pearl (MacLellan) Stewart, two brothers-in-law, Dow MacDonald and Bert MacKay and her niece , Keyo McAleer. She was a member of the Boiestown United Church and the Eastern Star. Visitation will be held at the Miramichi Valley Funeral Home, New Bandon, NB on Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 pm; Thursday, from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Service will take place at the Miramichi Valley Funeral Home on Friday, July 5, 2002 at 2 pm with Rev. Bob McDowell officiating. Interment will be held in the Boiestown United Church Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances to the Cancer Society or a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
