Trenton/Pictou - Catherine Isabel (Landry) Gallant, 50, of Trenton, and formerly of Pictou, passed away on July 11, 2007, in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. She was born March 15, 1957 in Pictou. Surviving are daughters: Chastity, Charlottetown; Darlene, Victoria, B.C. and Alexis, Pictou; mother, Wilda Landry, Three Brooks; sisters, Jeannie, Ontario; and Elsie, Pictou; brothers, Charles and Gordon, both of Three Brooks. Catherine was predeceased by a daughter, Vicky Lynn; and a brother, Michael. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou. Funeral will be held on Monday at 10 a.m. from Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church, Pictou with Father Bill Rankin officiating. Burial will be in Central Caribou Cemetery. Donations in Catherine's memory may be made to any child abuse charity.
