Clarence "Clary" Edgar Macdougall

PLYMOUTH - Clarence "Clary" Edgar MacDougall, 87, Plymouth, Pictou Co. passed away September 18, 2007, in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in Blue Mountain, he was a son of the late Allister and Mae (MacCulloch) MacDougall. Clary lived in Blue Mountain until 1964 when he moved to Plymouth. He was a member of Knox Presbyterian Church Blue Mountain and later, First Presbyterian Church, Stellarton. He started work in the lumber business, and later became a salesman for Maritime Auto and worked with the Department of Transportation for a number of years. Clary started in the construction business in 1956 and later formed a family business C& W MacDougall's Bulldozing in the late 1960's. He was very devoted to his family and his work. Clary was a member of the Pictou Co. Antique Car club and enjoyed restoring old vehicles. He is survived by his wife, the former Elizabeth Cameron, children: Barry (Linda), Trenton; Wayne (Sharon), Coalburn; Lynn Smith, New Glasgow; Ferne (Allan) Forsyth, Plymouth; Shelly (Sheldon) MacLennan, MacLellan's Brook; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers, Raymond (Lennie), Stellarton; Everett (Margaret); New Glasgow. He was predeceased by sister, Alexis, brothers, Fraser, Fred and Clifford. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in First Presbyterian Church, Stellarton, with Rev. Charles McPherson officiating. Burial will be in MacPherson's Mills Cemetery. Family Flowers only.
