TRENTON – Clifford William Davis, age 76, of Trenton, passed away Tuesday, August 26, 2008, in the Shiretown Nursing Home, Pictou. Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late Frederick James and Helen (Boudreau) Davis. He retired from Trenton Works after 37 years as a machinist and toolmaker. He was a retired Regimental Sergeant Major with the 1st Battalion Nova Scotia Highlanders. He is survived by common-law wife, Pauline Hayman; sons: Fred (Debbie), Trenton; Herb (Josholyn), New Glasgow; John, Stellarton; step-daughters: Gail (Paul) McIntaggart, Barrie, Ont; Debbie (Dale) Hodgson, MacPherson’s Mills; Tanya (Rob) Cameron, Ottawa, Ont.; 12 grandchildren; sister: Doris, Ottawa, Ont.; brother, James, Victoria, B.C.; his dog, Brandi. Visitation 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday in the R.H. Porter Funeral Home, Trenton, from where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday with Rev. Aidan Kingsbury officiating.
