Riverton : Dean William Calvin Sharpe age 70 of Riverton passed away on Friday November 21st, 2008 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in Caledonia he was a son of the late David and Hattie (Carver) Sharpe. Dean began his working years in the lumber industry and then went on to work for D.Porter and Sons of Stellarton and also for Shaw Brick. He then worked in the garage business for 38 years having operated Dean Sharpe’s Service Station. Dean enjoyed travelling and camping in the past number of years. Dean was a resident of Riverton for the past 39 years. Surviving are his wife of 39 years Gloria (Moser) Sons: Tracy (Paula) of Stellarton Vance (Michelle) of Pictou Grandchildren: Ryan, Evan, Dylan, and Kalan Step-grandchildren: Mathieu-Luc and Chantal Brothers: Odis (Kay) of Sunny Brae Parker ( Doreene) of Stellarton Clifford (Eleanor) of Pictou Eldon “Nick” (Helen) of Lorne Sisters: Marion (Roy) Kenny of Lorne Lorraine (Kevin) MacDougall of Dartmouth Mother-in-law Mildred Moser of Moser River Sister-in-law Evelyn Sharpe of Glencoe Many nieces and nephews He was predeceased by brothers Erskine and Lester The family will receive visitors from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday in the H.W.Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the First Presbyterian Church, Stellarton, with Rev. Charles McPherson officiating. Burial will be in the Riverton Cemetery.
