NEW GLASGOW – Biggar, Dorothy Rosalyn “Dot”, 91, of Bernard Street, New Glasgow passed away Wednesday June 18, 2008, at the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in Dorchester, NB she was a daughter of the late Martin and Olivia (Fillmore) Campbell. Dorothy was a resident of New Glasgow all her married life. She was a member of Trinity United Church where she was a member of Unit A, U. C. W. She and her late husband Roy owned and operated Biggar’s Ladies Wear in New Glasgow for some 50 years. She was a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Aberdeen Hospital, the Red Hat Society and Women Alike. Dorothy was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by her son; Murray (Barbara), New Glasgow; daughter; Carolyn (Hally) Kimball, Quispamsis, NB; grandchildren; Kim and Jeff; brothers-in-law; Aubrey Card, NB; Earle (Jean), New Glasgow; numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Roy Biggar; son; Kenneth; brothers; Quincy, Harold, William and Wyman, sisters Thelma, Bernice, Ethel and Etta. The family will receive visitors from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Friday in the H. W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Saturday from Trinity United Church, New Glasgow with rev. Jim Webber-Cook officiating. Burial will be in the Lorne Street Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations in memory of Dot may be made to Trinity United Church, the Canadian Cancer Society or the Ladies Auxiliary of the Aberdeen Hospital.
