RIVERTON, PICTOU?CO. – Eleanor Frances McGrath, 89, of Valley View Vila, Riverton, formerly of Marsh Street New Glasgow and Sussex, N.B., passed away Friday, Oct. 31, 2008 in the Aberdeen Hospital New Glasgow. Born in Bear River, P.E.I., she was a daughter of the late Charles A. and Frances Jane (McIntyre) Kelly. She was a former schoolteacher having taught in Bear River, P.E.I., and Black River, N.B.. She was a member of Saint Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church and the Womens Institute in Sussex, N.B. She is survived by daughters Katherine Fair, Saint John, N.B.; Mary (Allen) Barron, New Glasgow; Elizabeth (Brian) Brons, Cranbrook, B.C.; sons Kenneth Joseph (Barb Richardson), Saint John, N.B.; John (Susan), Sussex, N.B.; Wayne (Gail Anthony), Saint Stephen, N.B.; foster sons: Stuart (Jenny) Rogers, Priestville; Paul (Joann) Cameron, Sussex, N.B.; 23 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; sister, Cecelia Hanlon, Summerside, P.E.I. She was predeceased by her husband Francis McGrath; grandson Michael Rogers; granddaughter Margo Cotter; sisters Mary Coleman, Catherine Mooney; brothers Father John, Howard, Charles, Kenneth, Gerald, Peter and Adolbphas. Visitation was held 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Sunday in Wallace Funeral Home, Sussex, N.B. Funeral mass 3 p.m. today in Saint Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church. Burial will be in Wards Creek Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to the Lung Association or a charity of choice. Arrangements are under the direction of the R.H. Porter Funeral Home New Glasgow.
