CARROLLS CORNER – It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jessie, age 90 of Carrolls Corner, Halifax Co. on January 11, 2008 in the VG Hospital. Born in New Glasgow, she was the daughter of the late William and Margaret (Thompson) McIntyre. Her greatest interest in life was centered around her family as a great and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be sadly missed by daughters, Heather (Ron) Isnor, Enfield; Ruth, (Ted) Warnell, Medicine Hat, Alberta; son, Dr. Bernard (Janet) Ferguson, Blenheim, Ontario; daughter-in-law, Joan Ferguson, New Glasgow; sister, Peggy MacDonald, London, Ontario; brother, Jim (Freda) McIntyre, New Glasgow; and brother-in-law, Harry (Thelma) Ferguson, Little Harbour, Pictou Co. She was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, John, son, John; daughter, Joan; sisters: Ede, Margaret, Evelyn, Ann; and brothers, Bill and George. The family would like to express their greatest respect for the doctors and nursing staff of 4B Transitional Care Unit of the VG Hospital for their tender and loving care of Jessie during her lengthy stay. Cremation has taken place under the care of Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie. A family graveside service will be held at a later date.
