MORAN, GERALD The death of Gerald Moran, of Fredericton, NB, occurred February 16th, 2003 at the Veteran's Health Unit, Fredericton, NB. Born in Chatham he was the son of the late B. Leo and Mary (O'Kane) Moran and husband of Margaret (Topple) Moran. Gerald was an avid Ham Radio Operator and was also served as a Lieutenant for the North Shore Regiment in World War II overseas. Survived by his wife, Margaret of Fredericton, NB; two daughters, Marleigh (Gordon) Leaman of Lower Sackville, NS and Julie (Ralph) Hayden of Fredericton, NB; six sons, Christopher (Delores) of Orleans, ON, Tim of Auroa, ON, Michael (Gabriella) of Oakville, ON, Patrick (Debbie) of Lower Sackville, NS, and Jeffery of Windsor, ON, Barry (Charlotte) of Chatham, NB; fourteen grandchildren; two brothers, William of Chatham, NB and Ralph of Campbellton, NB; one sister, Leah of Chatham, NB and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, brother Bryan, two sisters, Margaret, Kathryne and daughter in law Brenda. Visitation will be held at McAdam's Select Community Funeral Home on Thursday, February 20th, 2003 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm, the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 4 will hold a tribute service at 7:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 21st, 2003 at St. Dunstan's Roman Catholic Church at 12:00 noon. Rev. Monte Peters as Celebrant. Interment to take in St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery, Chatham, NB, at a later date.
