MARGARET LAMBERT

LAMBERT, MARGARET Lambert, Margaret E., 86, of Fredericton and formerly of Halifax and Hatfield Point, New Brunswick, passed away at Fredericton, on February 17, 2003. Born in Hatfield Point, New Brunswick, she was the daughter of the late Dr. Thomas B. Fraser and Jennie S. Fraser. Margaret was a graduate of Netherwood School (1933), UNB (Arts1937) and Dalhousie University (B.E. D. 1960). She was a teacher at Tower Road School in Halifax during the 1960s and the early 1970s. During her lifetime Margaret was active in numerous charitable and community organizations, including serving in Executives capacities with; St Paul's Home for Girls (Halifax); U.N.B. Associated Alumni (recipient of Alumni Award of Honor in 1996, having served three terms as President and on the Executive since 1978); Canadian Federation of University of Women; I.O.D.E. (Life Member); Clark House (Fredericton); Christ Church Cathedral, Sanctuary Guild and Bayview Cemetery (Hatfield Point). Margaret is survived by her son James F. Richards (Judy), Truro, NS and daughter, Nancy E. Richards Halifax; grandchildren, Billie Richards (Christine) Halifax and Mary Richards Toronto. She was predeceased by husbands, William D. Richards (Fredericton), John Arnott (Halifax) and Russell A. Lambert (Fredericton); twin brother, Stuart who died in infancy and one brother, Donald B. Fraser, Townsville, Australia. A memorial service will be held at Christ Church Cathedral with The Very Rev. Keith Joyce officiating on Wednesday, February 19th, 2003 at 11:00 AM to be followed immediately by a reception at McAdam's Select Community Funeral Home 160 York Street, Fredericton. Burial shall be at a later date at Hatfield Point, New Brunswick. Cremation has taken place.
